INFORMATION AND CORPORATE SERVICES
Description
The Information and Corporate Services Department of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) is responsible for managing the Commission’s corporate image, institutional communication, public information systems, and administrative support services. The Department serves as the central hub for strategic communication, ensuring timely dissemination of accurate information to stakeholders, including Federal and State Colleges of Education, government agencies, development partners, and the general public. It coordinates media relations, public affairs, publications, branding, and protocol services in alignment with the Commission’s mandate. In addition to communication functions, the Department oversees core corporate services that support operational efficiency within the Commission. These include records management, registry services, document processing, internal communications, event coordination, and logistical support for official engagements. Through structured information management systems and corporate governance practices, the Department enhances transparency, institutional credibility, and stakeholder engagement, thereby contributing to the effective regulation and development of teacher education in Nigeria.

Divison - Public Relations
Function(s)
- Propagating the activities of the Commission
- Organising press briefing and writing rejoinders
- Publication of Commission’s News Brief and Newsletter
- Liaising with pressmen and other relevant stakeholders on press issues
- Performing any other duties as may be assigned
Divison - General Function
Function(s)
- Responsible for organising press briefings of the Executive Secretary and the Governing Board.
- Responsible for all Public Relations activities of the Commission.
- Responsible for advising the Executive Secretary on Public Relations matters.
- Responsible for portraying good image of the Commission to the general public.
- Responsible for keeping general records of the Department.
- Responsible for all legal documents of the Commission
- Advising the Commission on all legal issues.
- Assisting in all matters related to legal drafting.
- Responsible for reviewing legal agreement, legal opinion, memoranda, and other related matters.
- Responsible for the conduct of legal analysis and research.
- Performing other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Divison - Legal Services
Function(s)
- Taking charge of all legal documents of the Commission
- Advising on all legal matters
- Liaising with External Solicitors on cases involving the Commission/Colleges
- Assisting in implementing legal policies/matters.
- Responsible for reviewing and drafting Acts, legal agreement, legal opinion, memoranda, and other documents for the Commission.
- Responsible for the conduct of legal analysis and research on various legal matters of the Commission and Colleges of Education.
- Performing any other duties and may be assigned from time to time.
